Former member of the New York Philharmonic second violin section. I've been teaching violin and viola privately in Greenwich Village for 15 years. I work with beginners through advanced conservatory-prep students.
Teaching Philosophy
String playing is a lifelong journey. I emphasize proper technique from day one to avoid bad habits, and I incorporate ensemble playing to develop musicianship beyond solo repertoire.
