About the App

Music Teacher App (Cadence) is a scheduling platform for private music teachers and their students. Teachers manage lesson schedules, and students can coordinate lesson time swaps with each other when they need to reschedule.

Account & Profile

How do I create an account?

Teachers can sign up directly on the website. Students are invited by their teacher via email — you'll receive a link to create your account when your teacher adds you to their studio.

How do I update my profile information?

Teachers can update their profile in the Settings tab of the dashboard. Students can update their profile in the Profile tab.

How do I delete my account?

You can delete your account from the Settings tab (teachers) or Profile tab (students) on both the website and mobile app. Look for the "Delete Account" section. Account deletion is permanent and removes all your data including lessons, swaps, and reviews.

Lesson Swaps

How do lesson swaps work?

If you need to reschedule a lesson, you can browse available lesson times from other students in your teacher's studio and propose a swap. The other student can accept or decline. Your teacher is notified of all approved swaps.

Can I swap with students from other teachers?

No, lesson swaps are only available between students within the same teacher's studio.

Subscriptions & Billing

How much does the teacher subscription cost?

The Pro plan is $10/month or $80/year. It allows unlimited student enrollment (the free tier supports up to 5 students). The app is free for students.

How do I manage my subscription?

Teachers can manage their subscription from the Settings tab on the website. You can upgrade, downgrade, or cancel through the Stripe customer portal.

Can I get a refund?

Please contact us at support@musicteacherapp.com for refund requests. We handle these on a case-by-case basis.

Privacy & Data

How is my data protected?

We use industry-standard encryption for passwords, secure HTTPS connections, and encrypted token storage on mobile devices. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What happens to my data when I delete my account?

All your personal data and associated records (lessons, swaps, reviews, and student profiles) are permanently deleted from our systems.
